For now, it seems to be limited to cats only.

[ She grumbles but then makes a happy noise when petting cats. ]

I believe a similar process happens to humans as "being possessed".

I don't believe I am obsessed with cats... but at the moment, they provide an overload of happiness that is quite concerning.
