[ This is honestly a conversation they should be having when Terry can speak human, but no, they need to have this now because they haven't seen each other in days after a worrying turning point of when some people thought he was legitimately dead and/or missing and Terry won't stand for this--
So there's a sad growl and a small whine. He doesn't look at Sasuke. He remembers what Minato told him about people dying here.
"Don't throw your life away. You might not come back." ]
Terry hops off Sasuke's foot and faces him, constantly yapping and barking angrily. Even if Sasuke doesn't say that outright, Terry can just feel it being said with how Sasuke says his words. He's angry!! Even though he should have been grateful that he came back for him. But still.
It feels like he's looking at how he was before, with the confidence of not being able to die and being a meatshield for everyone because of that fact alone. He doesn't like it. The barking eventually calms though, and Terry continues to stare at Sasuke's face. If he was human, Sasuke would be getting a full lecture right now, so maybe this is better.
The tldr for Kurou is that Terry is angry. Don't do things without trying to mitigate your chances of dying. ]
[He looks utterly baffled at all this angry yapping. Kurou's not typically a translator, so it's going to take a while until he actually gets the message.]
[Which Kurou honestly turns into a more concise explanation: he's angry you were doing things without trying to watch out for your own life. Which is something Kurou frankly agrees with, even if he doesn't communicate it himself.
At that, Sasuke scowls, looking away again.]
It's not like I was trying to- [A pause. And then a short:] Sorry. [Definitely more of an apology given because he thinks he ought to, as opposed to anything genuine.
He's just- why did he think there was anything he could do to help? It's probably for the best that Kurou gave him the short version.
Sitting through another scolding would have been especially unbearable.]
[ Terry watches Sasuke's expression fall to a scowl. He recognizes that tone when he says "sorry" too, because he used to use it too. He calms down and tries to think of a god way to convey his feelings. He's sitting and continues to stare at Sasuke in silence before making a small squeaky whine and a puppy howl.
"I'm sorry. I'm sure you wouldn't like it if I died while trying to protect you. Let's get better together when I turn back to normal--if you want to."
Then he toddles back to where he dropped the serrated knife and bites onto the handle to pick it up. ]
[ Terry shakes his head. If it says anything, he still made it here... alone... past the horde of Onikuma and Arctos and those sea Shadows. He barks once, saying that he got a kill job from Minato. ]
Terry the pom looks at Sasuke incredulously. He can still... back out of this and just carry Terry out of the Dungeon. No one will fault him!! But the situation where he needs to charm Sasuke in order to make him cry is something he had never thought of before, and something he would feel incredibly guilty about.
Terry gestures to the knife in his mouth. Feel free to poke yourself with it, but don't stab yourself like Terry does. He'll never be able to live with himself. ]
[Sasuke just sighs, adjusting his grip so he has a hand (his left) free. There's still some hesitance, because shockingly he doesn't actually want to be under a charm effect, but he can't get himself to cry, either, so...
This is the most useful he'll be at making sure that if Terry does fight the Daitengu, he'll survive it. That lecture earlier totally didn't stick.
He allows himself to get a tiny scratch on the back of one of his fingers, going still as the magic takes its effect. Terry is now (for the moment) a Rank 10 Social link.]
[ He'll hope a talk in the future sticks, but for now, he'll just have to deal with a charmed Sasuke. Terry spits the knife to the floor and barks a command: "Sasuke, please cry". ]

Then he softens into a whine because "I'm sorry you died because of me". ]

Actually... I couldn't really think of what else to do. I knew leaving you alone was a bad idea, but I didn't know enough to help much...
[So... clearly the only option was to go in without a plan.]
I kind of expected it.

He waddles over to Sasuke and sits on his shoe as protest. ]

Wh...y?
He just looks down at pomme de Terry with a puzzled expression.]

His expression falls briefly, because he's honestly not sure what to answer with.
"It doesn't matter if I come back or not?" Even he knows that's not something that should be said.]
...But I did, right? I'm not sure we can really die here...
